SAS Management, Inc.’ at the 2017 IT Governance Conference
The just-concluded 2017 ISACA Manila IT Governanance Conference was a success.
With SAS Management Inc. as a platinum sponsor, the conference was held at the Mayuree I Ballroom of the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City with the theme “Govern. Innovate. Transform.”
Mr. Rajiv K. Dua, SAS Management, Incorporated’s Principal Consultant, kicked-off the conference session in the morning. In his talk “Evolution of CIO to Leverage Digital Era,” it was pointed out how business models rise and fall, depending on how the businesses make use of Information Technology and innovation led by technology.
He mentioned the use of the COBIT5 model as being essential in making an enterprise successful, starting with the enterprise goals then cascading them to IT goals. It was also reminded that any company’s mission, vision and values should not be forgotten by the employees from the rank-and-file position up to the top executives. All the enablers are the key to success.
Mr. Dua stressed that the moment a business is moved from traditional to digital, most of the cost will go down. Thus, the importance of being digital will be seen as a crucial investment. The lack of digital business advantage will definitely be a major drawback for an enterprise.
Aside from Mr. Dua, there were speakers from different fields of IT Governance ranging from banking institutions, energy, and security. They discussed topics ranging from the effects of introduction of AI in the workforce, cryptocurrency and bitcoins, to privacy and security.
The one-day conference was indeed a success, featuring five plenary sessions, ten resource speakers and more than 150 delegates comprised of senior executives from local and private organizations.
