Program Overview

This is a PMI accredited review program for candidates who are planning to take the Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® examination. The course therefore covers the seven (7) subjects or domains in the PMI-ACP® exam outline. It also awards the necessary 21 PDUs which is a requirement to sit in the exam. The domains covered as follows:

  1. Agile Principles and Mindset
  2. Value-Driven Delivery
  3. Stakeholder Management
  4. Team Performance
  5. Adaptive Planning
  6. Problem Detection and Resolution
  7. Continuous Improvement

PMI is methodology agnostic and thus the course does not espouse the use of any single Agile methodology. However, the exam does require candidates to have knowledge in various Agile methodologies which will be covered in this review program. Examples of Agile methodologies covered in the exam are Scrum, FDD, XP Programming, DSDM, Crystal Methodology, and Lean (Kanban).

Additional note: before anyone can be awarded the globally recognized PMI-ACP® credential, candidates should be able to demonstrate their experience by logging at least 2,000 Project Management hours, plus 1,500 Agile Project Management hours. Candidates should prove that they were able to complete at least 21 contact hours, or Professional Development Units (PDUs) of Agile Project Management course work.
